Director of Member Relations, Strategic Relationship Marketing Specialist


Seeking a mature, seasoned professional who will oversee all Member Relations and membership services. The primary focus ofthis position is to assist members with creating and maintaining their overall Relationship Marketing Strategy. Assisting Members in properly utilizing their membership and their membership inventory. Director of Member Relations is responsible for cultivating, and maintaining meaningful relationships with all the key business leaders who make up our membership.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Consistently champion the Relationship Marketing philosophy to members, prospects, and the business community at large
  • Work closely with the Decision Maker at each member company to help them create and maintain  Relationship Marketing Strategy relevant and valuable to them. Holding them accountable once the strategy is in place.
  • Demonstrate an obvious desire to help others, by bridging various relationships for our member.
  • Have a clear understanding of each members business model, service offerings and target customers
  • Professionally represent BCA Philadelphia at events and within the business community
  • Ensure that members are properly utilizing the BCA membership and have full understanding of its elements and the overall mission of BCA membership
  • Research and keep abreast of Philadelphia area current events and latest business and political news and compile market research reports
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant reporting information


  • Minimum ten years of successful professional experience, preferably client servicing, business development or coaching experience
  • Successful candidate should clearly understand and possess a very strong focus on long-term relationship building.
  • Proven history of building and maintaining relationships with a c-suite executives
  • Able to spend at least one or two nights away per week without upsetting domestic situation.
  • Able to commute reliably to office base when required.
  • Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
  • Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel within the greater Delaware Valley area
  • Must be comfortable working within a company where price is not a factor (large value products).
  • Understands the principles of consultative servicing and relational coaching
  • Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts.
  • experience is a plus

  • Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.
  • Must posses the ability to be resourceful and able to get along with others and be a team-player.


Base Salary and commission structure based upon experience. Keep in mind this is a job based on quality not quantity.
